Binit.org would like to say a big thank you to Hartlepool United Community Sports foundation for their show of support for our new knife and gun crime initiative.
Binit are now the official sponsors of HUFC ball boys at every home game. Hartlepool is now the first town or city in the country to recognise the educational benifits of www.binit.org, a new internet based, non-profit making clothing company, which engages with young people by using their t-shirt designs to reinforce the anti knife crime message amongst their peers. Profits from the sales of these t-shirt designs help victims and families who have had their lives destroyed by the problem of knife crime. Binit donate funding to www.KnifeCrimes.Org, the biggest online resource for knife crime in the UK and will be sponsoring their team on the London 10K run, that will take place on the Olympic course in the summer of 2011.
HUCSF are to utilise the Binit education program and free Binit school pack, that is easy to download from the Binit web site and run it out to all their young players, who take part in their sports programs and seminars all across the area. The towns parents and teachers are also invited to use the free pack and work with their children and students to design an anti street crime art piece and upload it to the voting section on the site. The winning design will be selected and printed as part of our clothing range.
As part of the UK launch of our site, we would also like fans of the club to send their unique HUFC design that will show support from its young fan base. You can upload your design to the site for the clubs official Ball boy hoodie design and speak for the 99.9% of the fans of “pools” who love football. Good luck with the designing”.

We ask the country's young people to join in with us and express their thoughts, using art and creativity, on how they feel about knives and guns being carried in their neighbourhood, says Mike Wray, oil worker and creator of the Binit UK campaign. Wray, who had no background in youth justice or in working with young people, set up the Binit website in response to his own deep concern at how knife and gun crime was affecting communities and young people. Binit invites young people to come up with their own designs, promoting anti-weapons crime messages, for printing on garments ranging from hoodies to T-shirts.It is a great way of making a fashion statement, while at the same time supporting a very worthy cause, says Wray. Some of the designs we've had have been amazing, and very thought-provoking, he adds. All profits from garment sales are donated to schemes helping to educate young people and their families about weapons crime. The site also offers a free downloadable education pack for use
Dear Binit,
